Thanks 77explorer. I just caught this thread recently and looked through every page. There are a lot of great old trucks in here. The thread seems to be fledgling though. Post more pics everyone! I don't want to see this one go away.
Yea tankrsc, it's a factory color- Baytree Green. It was repainted about 30 years ago, but only the exterior. In my gallery, there are a couple of shots of the dash, the interior is all original (aside from the gauges and seat cover, of course). When I found this truck I fell in love. This color and these hubcaps seem to be very rare. I've never seen either of them before. I have to admit, I've never payed close attention to these old Fords untill I started shoping last spring, but I can't find these hubcaps ANYWHERE. If any of you have some of them laying around, I am interested in a replacement or two.
I thought I would post a couple pictures of what I have spent the last 5 years on. The 1974 is pretty much complete. Rebuilt 302 and C4 transmission with about 90K on it
The 1979 is has a rebuilt 302 and C6 transmission with about 85K on it now its time for the body work and paint
Nice trucks on here guys! Here is my truck 74 F100 360/C6 89K mile Grandpa truck. I rebuilt the top end of the engine due to a burnt exhaust valve and have tinkered with it for a year now. The camper is def on its way out, I dont know how I have put up with it this long!
Looks like I have your twin HareBall. This is my 74 F100 360/C6 Grandpa fresh 89K mile truck. I have it about a year and cant believe I still havent taken the camper off!
My truck had a camper on it for years, when it was my dad's. When I got the truck from him and finally took it off the truck looked funny (different) for a while. I'm happy without it though! That's a good looking truck you've got, take the camper off and slap on some aftermarket rims and it won't be a grandpa truck anymore. LOL
