4.6L engine swap

I've got a '97 4.6L and want to swap it out its sludge and junked. But wanna go back to carburated. Has anybody done this. Does anyone know what engines will line up with my transmission? Im not worried about wiring or computers and such we can make that work. My main concern is whats gonna fit the tranny.

The modular engine family uses a unique bellhousing bolt pattern. In other words, a 302, 351, 460, etc. isn't going to bolt up to your stock transmission.
