New to the Chapter.

Hello everyone, I am new to the chapter. I live in the El Dorado area. I found this site a few weeks ago. I can't believe that I didn't find it sooner. I have gotten so much information and tips from the guys on here it is unbelievable. There are very few things that can actually bring people together for things in this world. It is amazing that ford trucks have been able to do it across an entire country. I have been a ford fan for my entire life. It is sites like this one that show the love a true ford fan has for their vehicle. I hope everyone is doing well and look forward to making some new friends. Have a great day everyone.

Thanks for the welcome everyone. I hope that I can make it to the gtg here in june. Dave, I have an ad on here for an 86 f150 xlt that I stripped the interior out of that I am parting out. I will post some pics of the interior of the 81 as soon as I finish a few things on it. Talk to everyone later.

Welcome to the AR forum Casey, glad to have someone else from my neck of the woods. Don't remember seeing that truck around these parts, how long have you had it? Hope you can make it when we meet at Moro Bay.

I have had the truck for about 2 years. But, about a month after I got it the rings went out and it started smoking really bad. So I took my time and found a factory reman long block on ebay for $800 bucks. I waited about 3 months to put the motor in. I wasn't in a position where I needed the truck. Then about 2 months after I got the new motor in it the pinion bearing in the rearend locked up. It took me a couple of months to find another third member for it. Got a complete steal on that one. Barker's steel had a truck that someone scraped and it had the 9" rearend. They sold the third member to me for $75. Right after that I promised the truck to my oldest son so I don't drive it very often. We have been doing more restoration than driving. So far it is coming along pretty good. I have been blessed with a son that appreciates older cars and trucks and what it means to rebuild one. He would rather have a truck that he can say we restored and built ourselves than a newer one that he can just drive.

Hey guys,

I just had to chime in on this score, wally world in searcy had the Final Charge 3yr 300k Coolant on clearance for $7 a gallon.. I picked up 8 gallons for the PSD

Guess I'll shelf these for a while, considering I added a bottle of ford additive less than a month ago

Searcy only had 2 gallons left, other stores might be on sale too

Pics of new interior

Hey guys, I got some pics of the interior of the truck today. I took them a little too early though. I changed the door panels after I took the pics. I will post them on my profile. I wish I would have taken before photos. I can't believe the difference. Talk to everyone later.

Club Decal

Do we have a club decal for our chapter? If so where can I get one? If not would the club be interested in designing one? Not sure where that thought came from but I figured I would ask.
