I have a 1978 Ford shortbox 2wd. The engine is a 460. Right now it is backed by a C6 but I would like to know if their was ever an AOD built to fit a 460, and if there was would it fit mine. It is not #'s Matching and It is out of a car about the same year. Any help would be appreciated.

 

What was in front of the automatic you are wanting to put in? Personaly I would stay with C6. But JET makes an o/d that bolt's rite up.High$.
