Well get this, The dealer calls said the truck is done and they found no issues with the dpf. they replaced the AC compressor ordered a new pig tail for the trailer brakes and I could bring it back when it comes in. oh and they repalced the seat belt.

I said there is soot in my tailpipe and it regens like crazy and that is fine. (Oh well the ford hot line gave us a list of things to check and it all checked ok.)
(We looked for cracks on the dpf and found none), I said good you took it off and looked?
(No we looked at the outside of it for cracks! and we don't know why it is regening so much but if I want the can have the porter drive it this week end and write down when
it regens!!) I said your Porter knows how to tell it is regen? (well we can tell him what to look for). I said no thanks. Ok they said you just let us know if it regens soon.
Ok what ever!! so down the highway I go about 20 miles it goes into regen again
I drove to the dealer where I bought the truck and let him listen. Yes you are in regen
and man your motor does not sound right at all he tells me. I called the dealer in Ohio that just had it and he talked to them. I have to take it back Tuesday!!!!

I would be weary of that dealer. The cracks happen to the catalyst internally, not on the outside.

are you sure you looked at a job 3 build? when i was looking around for my replacement truck, i was looking for a job 3 build. every dealer i spoke with around my area (8 dealers total) all told me that job 3 builds wouldn't be available until late march or ealy april. either you don't know what to look for or the dealerships i dealt with are full of *****.

look at your invoice. some invoices say what "build" they are. another way is by the build date which it seems that you have a job 3 truck. man, those f**ckers that deal in vehicle sales are c**k suckers! those lying ***** f**ckers. i've been told by at least 8 dealerships that build 3 trucks wouldn't be available until late march or early april. if i knew this, i would have waited until job 3 trucks came out before i picked out my replacement truck! and here i've been spouting my mouth off about job 3 trucks not being available until springtime. sorry for the mis information. maybe its not too late to get a job 3 truck.

They're just trying to get rid of their stock that they have on site. I think if Ford is buying the truck back then they should not only give you exactly what you want but they should offer up some concessions for you trouble and lost time. I still say that they should be considering the consumers lost time and frustration for the crap they put out there. Maybe then they would be forced to put out a better quality product.

Good luck to you both.

Do you really think Job 3 is going to make all things better? I don't think so but hey take another risk! I would wait on this 6.4 motor to either be improved or replaced with that new Peugot 6.7 Scorpion motor!!
