27 T (glass) body on a Ranger Frame?
I searched.
I am looking for information on putting a 27T Body and bed on a Ranger frame. I can fabricate everything necessary without problem. I know how much work etc is involved in building ground up, and do not expect a "Bolt on"...
What I would like to see is just how close the Range Frame is to the 27.
Thus far I have found little that answers the basic questions about the frames.
Somebody has to have done this before!
All kinds of info on S10's
Thanks!
Muel

Like a T-bucket with full length bed.
Hood over the engine and hood sides when I want em.
I'd like full fenders and perhaps even metal for longevity as this will be a driver in the Rat Rod style.
The Ranger is currently a runner 2.3L/5-spd.
The suspension will stay stock 2WD Ranger, other then detailed.
Tires will be 30-9.50 in front and 33-12.50 in the rear

Muel. check this site for a drawing of a 27T frame. http://www.wescottsauto.com/pdf2/FR-1.pdf
You didn't mention what year ranger you had and I don't know much about ranger frames but they had the old twin I beam front axle until 1998 when they switched to the ifs type. I would think you would want the post 1998 frame to use.

Is exactly what I was looking for!
It has been a looong time since I was really involved with FTE... Think Mailing lists. LOL!
It is nice to know that it still works!
Thank You!
