Originaly from Chicago, a bud retired in the Keweenaw Peninsula, and since my 2nd visit in '04 fell in love w/ the area. I go back and forth based on work. I travel 43-141 and 41 over 400 miles.

Not to far from the bridge in Houghton is what I call home now.

You know it, love the north. I love the city of Chicago for things like the Cub's, some histroy, Blues. But I'm done w/ the congestion, politic's over regulation.
I only had 3 channels in the UP before the Conversion, now? I got none, dont like the news anyway, although I'd like to have the local for weather and such.

Hopefully one day near in the future I can go permanatley, for now, when there even is work I'm in Chi'. Thanks for the post!

I park the ole truck about 7 miles outta Bad Axe. If ya dont know, bad axe is smack dab in the middle of the "thumb". Yall are michiganders so i shouldnt have to explain what the thumb is lol

 

I know where Bad Axe is. In fact I've been there and bought my first care there.
