93, F-250, 5.8, Idle Problem
I asked this question last month but didn't get any response. Here goes again--I've done some other checking/ replacing since then and still no better.
1)-changed all the inline filters including air filter.
2)-checked cat converter and installed a test pipe.
3)-changed out EGR.
4)-changed PCV/ plugs (plugs worn but not fouled).
5)-pulled codes-
1-came up with 2-codes
a)-shift code--over a year ago I had speedometer relay go out--there's the shift code.
b)-fuel pump code from awhile back.
NOTHING ELSE APPEARED--no current codes at all.
6)-attached fuel pressure guage--steady no fluuations. Held pressure.
7)-cleared old codes and reset.
Trucks been running for aprox 45 minutes--now it begins to idle ROUGH/ evenually stalling. Fuel smell. Crank up --rev engine, runs, let off accelerator--back to rough idle and stalls.
8)-replaced coil and IAC--because it appears that truck is loading up/ flooding.
Crank, run engine--smoothe--after 30 minutes--take out for test run--6 miles into it--rough idle begins on stops--loads up and stalls.
