Missing belt, car still runs ??
OK, well this is what i get for buying a used car at night.
The car drives somewhat, but i noticed there is a belt missing. Looking right at the engine its a big wheel going into the engine, to the left is a free spinning wheel not attached to anything, neither have a belt on them. IM guesing this might have something to do with over heating, steam and a dry radiator.

Yes that would be your fan belt. The typical setup would be a single belt around the crank pulley(bottom), waterpump and fan(kind of middle of engine), and alternator ar generator(side of engine smaller pulley). The fan belt turns the waterpump to circulate the coolant and spin the fan. Without it your engine will overheat quickly and permanent damage can be done. Welcome to FTE and I hope it turns out OK for you.
