Light Bulbs???????

I have a 2002 Ranger Tremor. My problem is this... the bulb behind the headlight switch is out and the bulb on the left cruise control switches are out too. I am having a heck of a time finding a replacement for them. I have my truck tore apart. If anyone has any insight as to the right part numbers and where I can get them it would be greatly appreciated. I am at the point now that I am going to go back to ford to get them. If anyone knows of any websites that might have what I am looking for please let me know. Also, I have found the replacement lens for them, but can't seem to find the exact bulbs I am looking for. Thanks again for any and all information that is available.

Chris

Thanks...I will keep searching for the thread. I am thinking about changing all the covers to blue instead of green so it will match the factory installed pioneer radio. I think that would look much better than the christmas tree I have going on right now. Can you change all the instrument lights to LEDs also?

I ve had my dash out to replace bubs (did them all-even the ones not burned out)Not sure, but I'd bet it could be done. Need to find the right voltage and size..Radio Shack is a good place to start, then you could check out one of those custom parts places that sell all the gimmicky stuff that make your ride look nice...I'd bet it could be done!!

You're not going to find the bulbs, start looking for replacement switches. Or, you could switch them to LED bulbs...

I replaced my headlight switch lamp to an LED-not that hard to do-you don't need a new switch. I printed the instructions, but can't seem to find them-I'll keep looking...

Try these links. They are for fixing the headlight switch bulb and the 4wd rotary switch bulb.

Glad some others have hopefully used my writeup and pictures! My little Radio Shack bulbs are still working just fine.

You have to use a diode also, if I remember correctly. I found the article I printed for this fix--go to Car Domain.com-in the advance search box put N3ELZ ,Scroll down to How-to articles-find Headlight/4X4 LED Mod(pg.12) It will tell you every thing you need to make this fix...It also has a cruise LED fix in the How To Articles..

Just an update on the LEDs. I have installed them as instructed from the CarDomain link and I must say I am thoroughly impressed. I love the look and the detailed instructions were perfect. Thanks again for everyones help, I can see the light again. I have the Tremor edition with the pioneer system in it and the head unit lights up blue. I used the blue LEDs in the cruise control pods and the head light switch and it matches perfect. I am planning on changing all the back lights to LEDs. I want the gauges, air conditioning controls, fog light switch to be blue. I think the finished look should be pretty good. Hopefully soon I can post some pics when I am done, but for know I am very pleased with the new interior look of my Ranger. THANKS TO ALL....
