Monday am funny, rank on Chebby drivers

Though some of you would appreciate this. My mother's boyfriend promised a friend that he'd move a fridge from one house to another over the weekend. He asked me to give him a hand, no sweat. A little needed background first - He has a 03 or 04 Silverado 1500. I had an older Silverado a while ago, and my 4wd buttons were labeled 2WD, 4HI, 4LO. His however are labeled 2WD, 4(up arrow), 4(down arrow). I don't know how to actually type an up and down arrow...

So, Sunday morning we got to his friend's house to pick the fridge up. The driveway was all packed with snow and pretty steep. Not crazy steep, but steep enough that 2WD wasn't going to do it, especially in reverse. So, he was at the bottom, ready to back up the driveway and went to put it in 4WD. He kept hitting the 4(down arrow) button and wondering why it was not engaging 4WD. I asked why he was using 4LO just to back up a driveway and he said he though 4(up arrow) was 4WD for forward, and 4(bottom arrow) was 4wd for reverse!!! (Since the arrow pointed down I guess.) I, of course, ranked on him relentlessly the rest of the day...chevy drivers LOL...

thats funny.

I had a friend in high school who thought that the old foot switch hi/lo beam switches made a car go faster. In his defense, I had a Nitrous system hooked to mine and took him for a ride one day and he thought that all Z-28's had that feature. He was absolutley dumbfounded when he bought a Z car and his switch just gave him highbeams.

That is why some people should actually really read their manual. Pathetic.

When I got my '68 Corvette I couldn't find the dimmer switch on the floor. They weren't on the turn signal lever yet, so I had no idea how to change the headlights. Finally I read the owners manual and found that the switch was under a cover under the carpet and all you had to do was push on the carpet in that area to dim the lights. Chevy must have fun thinking up ways to fool us.

Isn't the up arrow for going uphill and the down arrow for going downhill?

What if he had to make a sharp turn? I can't believe Chevy wouldn't give him 4wd options for going left or right.
