Man you gotta love physical work for that! Sounds like you sure do a ton of shovelling!
I dont even notice it anymore. Its only been 6 days, and I still get winded, but my arms, back & legs dont hurt anymore, and I dont wake up very stiff & sore.. I have gained 12lbs in the past 6 days, and lost about an inch off my "computer generated belly"

mmmm Kits Beach Babes... Too bad 90% of them are stuck up. I'll stick with 2nd beach or Whiterock.
How's yor back?I just shoveled my roof today,41/2 ft deep!I know I'm gonna bee stiff tomorrow. If only I could get my snow-blower up there, and keep it from falling off, that would sure make thing's easier. How did you get out of that massive hole you dug?
Hey Sedly how do you know when to shovel off your roof? We don't have that much snow here at Burns Lake. On the edges of my roof the snow and ice is about 2 1/2' thick, but the middle part of my roof only has about 3" on it from the heat of the house slowly melting it. I've had a little bit of leakage upstairs through the roof recently so I'm thinking I'll try to knock the snow that's deep on the edges of my roof. This is the first time I've lived in a snowy climate.
Mine does the same and I get some leaking. I go up and break up the ice and shovel off some of the snow. I was thinking of running some heat tape along the edge of the roof line to keep the ice from building up. My problem is the main roof is a steep slope on the main house to a not very steep slope. Everything seems to slide down to that transition point and sit there.
I know where the water is getting in so I did a little work last summer. A little more this summer and hopefully problem solved.
Zip the problem your going to run into with the heat tape, is when a deep freeze hits, and the water around the tape freezes, eventually it`ll encapsle the tape, and it`ll stop working properly. They tried that one a couple of the smaller building up Cypress. Now we have to get on the roof and shovel them off.
replace your shingles with sheet aluminum, and never worry about leaks, or snow build up
I have a bunch of heat tape sunken in the ground so my pipes dont freeze, but down there I dont have to worry about moisture building up on it either. Maybe just throw some salt on your roof and let it melt away!! lol.

I have an aluminum roof. I have been told that the lower part isn't steep enough? When the snow slides off the steep part of the roof it just builds up at the transition point. The other problem is they didn't carry the roof line. The roof on the addition is about 3" lower than the main roof and a whole lot flatter.
