Well this way I've had all the Big 3 have to offer. I've actually been pretty happy with all of my pickups so far. The Ford and the Dodge didn't get much for mileage though. I've ran two tanks through this GMC and they were hand calculated averages of 15.2 and 15.7. I got 15.7 with my Ford once....all highway. I never got over 14.5 with my Dodge.

Im glad you got a new truck at least you have a nice warranty that goes with it. Cant beat that. I wish I had a crew cab thats something I think I would really like. Lots off room for people or things. You will probably get better mileage to as the truck gets broke in. I wouldnt be surprised if you would get 17 to 18.

Nice ride Jake! I think GM beats everyone in gas mileage when it comes to pickups.

Well guys,
It's been a week and no one has said anything....George knows, but I don't think he's said anything either.

In an effort to redeem myself for my sins in the eyes of the Ford gods I've purchased a super clean '71 F-250 Camper Special to use as a donor. The only rust is on the inner fender under the battery tray, and then at the back of the cab underneath on the passenger's side. It has a few big dents, but I'm not as worried about that.

It is basically a twin to mine, but 2 years newer and a Camper Special.

And IT Is a SOLID Truck! The Cab mounts are in GREAT Shape which you very seldom see in trucks this age. Very Nice Builder.

And by the way I own 2 of those damn Government Motors Vehicles (don't tell anyone but I like them both) but my old 69 gets driven every day and when I had my shoulder rebuilt last year I started getting the shakes when I hadn't driven it in 2 weeks so figured out a way to drive a stick 69 4X4 with no power steering with one arm. Not an easy thing to do. The Vette and the Caddy don't see me often
