frame swap?

i have a 56 f-100 i was wondering if there was a newer frame out there i could get without spending an arm and a leg im new to this game i was told an early 80's dodge dakota frame would work and also an earlys jeep grand cherokee frame would work if anyone could help me im trying to save up some money so when i come back from iraq i can make it look really nice

I am no expert on this but get the same wheelbase and close to same frame width and it should work if you can measure and weld some brackets
They put Corvettes on 4 WD around here and Stretch limo's on 4WD chassis
with the correct tools and know how, ya can do anything

Welcome shammaster21, usually the case most of the time that it`s easier to save the old frame.
