Oil pan leaking
I will just cut to the chase, My oil pan is leaking at the back next to my dust cover to my tranny. It has gotten so low on oil now that when I turn a corner my oil light comes on. Does this sound like a gasket problem or the dreaded rear main seal. I am hopeing it is at least one of these two. Is there anything else it could be? And on a 1980 model won't I have to drop the tranny and the flywheel if I have to change that rear main seal? I guess let's just hope that it is the gasket.

Oil pan leaking
I just had my pan gasket replaced. Wasn't leaking yet. On the left rear side, the gasket started working itself out just as if you were squeezing it out from overtightening.
Glad the mechanic caught it, as I'm getting ready to take a couple weeks on the road.
