One of the Three

Hey guys I thought I would get your opinions on this. I am definitely getting a set of one of the three tires below when the time comes.

Anyway of the three what would you go with and why.

325/60/18 Nitto Terra Grapplers

305/60/18 Dick Cepek Fun Country ll's

305/60/18 Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ Radials

I am not including the BFG AT K/O 305 because it is just to damn expensive so unless it is on sale when the time comes it is not an option.

I know it is another tire question but at least I have narrowed it down to just these three and these three only.

Yeah I should have thought of that the MT I was talking about is the one pictured at the bottom, the "S". Thanks for posting the pics.

I would like to have a set of BFG TKO's too but they are expensive. I still might get a set someday.

I have 305/55/20 Nitto TG's on my truck and like them. They don't make alot of noise going down the road and haven't left me stuck anywhere this hunting season. Depending on how much offroading you plan on doing will determine how aggressive of tread pattern you will need.
With a larger tire you will notice a little less MPG.

Thanks guys for your input!!!!

Went to Performance W&T just to look at all three tires and they all look great. The D.C. is definitely the most aggressive looking followed by the M.T. then the Nitto. The 325 Nitto is slightly taller but not by as much as you would expect. And it is barely wider than the D.C. as well.

I currently have the 285/65R18 Nitto TG and they have been great tires...they ride and are wearing great. I just really like the look of the D.C. and the M.T. . It may come down to which one I can get the best deal on at the time. They are all right around the same price give or take $20 to $40 a set.

Brian,

Looks like you have already put some money in your truck. If you think you want the BFGs I would not settle on one of the others. Pinch a few pennys and get what you want. Michelin/BFG Products are Top Notch and you will be happier in the long run!

I have talked to a number of guys who work in the oilfields in Western Canada who are running the Dick Cepeks and swear by them. These guys often put a tire through as much grief in a year as we would in three.

Thanks guys for your opinions they are much appreciated.

Fordtruckowner: I hear what you are saying it will give me something to think about.

bigdavewilson: Thanks for the info...that is the type of statements that make you take a longer look at a tire.

I can't speak for the other tires but the nitto's I had were junk. I bought them to save money over the BFG's that I previously had but it was not worth it to me. I bite the bullet and spring for BFG's from now on.
