Transmission Question

I have a 1997 Ford PSD with a 5 speed ZF tranny in it. I was just curious if the transmissions are the same in the 1994 Ford diesels that are naturally asperated. I have a 5 speed from one of these trucks. Just wondering if they interchange or not.

From what I have read from the prepowerstroke forum there are two different zf5 transmissions that were put in those trucks an S42 and a S47, with the S47 being a little stronger. I think that they will fit any 7.3 motor, IDI or a stroke.
