Question Help Downunder

Gday guys and gals.

Have a few questions to put out to all in truckland.

Having some head work done on my 351 cleave this week. Pretty excited about it since I'l be throwing an edelbrock performer manifold, cvr electric waterpump and a accel ready to run elec. dizzy. Im currently running twin 14'' thermos with a custom shroud and heders out to a twin 2 1/2 inch system.

Has anyone done something similar to theirs? If so, what performance benefits have you found?

Also, the suggestion of a Gilmer belt setup has been put forward to me as well.

Is anyone running this as well? What are the benefits?

Wink

Old school stuff huh? I could say I've moved on from this sort of stuff. Past efi, now on to modern diesels.

However, I used to have one of these in my XB GT Falcon. So perhaps I've still got a soft spot for the clevelands.

Can you tell us what vehicle this is in? What camshaft is in it?

Manifold - good allrounder
EWP - waste of time unless you're into serious competition
Electronic dizzy - mandatory
thermo's with shroud - OK
exhaust - fine
Gilmer belt drive - pointless also, esp. with no fan to drive.

So far it sounds like a pretty normal upgrade. Key is to be sure it is tuned properly. No fun living with a pig day to day, even if it does rip hard at 5000rpm plus. How often is that?

Again, what's it in?
