Brian, I know it gets hot in AR, but if you tried canvas in SC ONCE, you'd never do it again! We not only can see the air we breathe, we can reach out and touch it!
I was at a show with a couple of friends and had taken a tour to see who and what was there. When I got back to our trucks those guys had taken my chairs!
I didn't say a word, I just used one of theirs. It didn't take long to see why they got mine!
Made me sweat like a borrowed mule.

That might be true here as well, but I am not at shows (during the day). With my dialysis schedule being on Saturday, it is cruises and cruise ins only for me. Not too hot in the evenings. Besides...I do not have a show truck. Just a driver.

I attended one show this year before I got the chairs...so I don't know.

I might (might not) be able to attend the same show next year. Depends on dialysis.

I'm sorry to hear about your physical problem. I guess it's only a problem if you let it.
I have about 25 trophies with my truck, but I prefer door prizes!
A friend of mine, Philip Ellison, had a '54 panel that was a feature in many magazines. Now he has a '65(I think) that's just as famous, both built by Don Jacks a premier effie builder, and Phillip says the same thing. "Give me door prizes and keep the trophies."

I take my build pictorial with 4 x 6 color prints of the start as a chassis and up through the finish along with a list of source info for those interested folks that want to know where this or that came from. I also take a load of business cards of those that have provided a quality service at a good price or value. The back has old pics of some of my other cars past and present. I am getting a stainless brushed 12 x 18" sign lazer cut with the names of the people I would like to thank , promote or acknowledge. The 56 has been to 18 shows, 2 local 50 mile cruises and 1 out-o-town rod run.

Last time I entered a show I packed lunch, a hat and a camera. I won a bottle of car wax as a door prize. I think they were trying to tell me something.

Seeing all the cool cars loaded with bennie babies and crap makes me nauseous.
