My 02 FX4 comes with "crappy" Goodyear Wrangler RTS in a 265/70R17.
I like my wheels but I cannot find a larger tire in a 17" size.
I want to go bigger but I don't want to lift it right now.
Anybody know of a place where i can get something like a 285/75R17 in a brand that has a good reputation?:-X23

I have done some research because I am in the same situation you are with my 2000 F-150 4x4. A 275/70-17 will work for sure it is about an 1" taller and an 1" wider. A 285/70-17 might work but I have been told they might be to large. I found some different tires in these sizes at http://www.tirerack.com/
