I am putting a custom 72 F350 together. I have a 351M with a DSII distributor and a DSII module with the wiring pigtails I need for the installation.

I would like to install the DSII system in the 72 using the 72 wiring harness. The donor truck the 351M DSII system came out of had a fire under the dash and the wiring was toasted.

I am not positive on what wires from the ignition switch of the 72 to connect to the DSII module. I do not have a 72 wiring diagram. Anyone know where I might find one?

 

i don't have a diagram but i just looked on the back of my ign. switch. pull theplug off, it's marked. get that color wire & it comes out of the d. side fender in the loom. hooked it to red wire on module. hope this helps.

 

what i do is run the old ignition wire(the one that went to the + side of the coil) to the red wire out of the dura spark box,remember red is run white is crank. then go over to the solinoid and there should be a ign termenal on it run a wire from that to the white at the box.one more wire needs to be run from the key switch to the +side of the coil.some times ill cheat on this one and conetct the +side coil wire rite along with the red one on the box. save your self alot of hastle and get the dizzy wire loom and box out of a donnor and hook up as stated. oh ford messed up in one part of this the box has red and white wires coming from it when its pluged into the ford harness the colors switched i always go by whats on the box
