anyone use this service with their a/m head-unit? i have the eclipse avn5510(5 months old) and am looking to upgrade it to the 6610 and add sir. traffic. i do a lot of long distance driving(20k miles on my expy last year alone), and if this can help speed up the process by rerouting around traffic and construction....that would be great. looking for feedback on accuracy. tia.

I didn't even know Sirius had a traffic module! I would be all over it but Sirius got rid of Pittsburgh traffic so I doubt it would do me any good to have, not to mention I have a Pioneer navi unit... I bet it's a pretty cool system though!

I would check out the forums at siriusbackstage.com and see if anyone has had any luck there with it.

 

thanks for the link. the sirius traffic/nav program didnt seemto get too many good reviews on that site, so i think i will just get basic service and tune into the traffic stations. now i have to decide between sirius and xm. sirius integrates with my eclipse head unit, so no external monitor....but only a few traffic stations on my route from MA > FL. xm has a lot more stations on my route, but i would have to have an external controller. need help deciding.
