Hey George, QUIT working on that darn pickup and just SELL it to me already!! That looks like an AWSOME project. I talked to your wife and she said that you need to sell it to me before you get anymore work done on it....LOL..looks AWSOME!! Some day I hope to get one if I ever find one that is.... you should get a bunch of work done on it anyways even with it being cold out with that good looking shop that you have.

LOL - Wish I had some heat in my shop - the older you get the more that damn cold affects your bones! The other problem is the cash - never seems to be enough! I have a Vette that if someone would come and offer me enough money that 56 would get done a lot quicker. Problem is I think my Vette is worth more than everyone else does I want to get as much done this spring and summer as I have to get my shoulder worked on this fall which will put me down for at least 4 months - thats going to suck!

Oh man, shoulder surgery sucks! My boss just had his right shoulder worked on in Kearney and is still pretty sore. They "fixed it" two years ago but had to get it worked on again I think it was last Wednesday or Thursday. I guess it will keep him from working construction with us probably until next fall. I guess thats why he has me working for him.

Congrats on your new lofty status Antony! Hey George, you need to to sell me that 69 so you'd have money for the '56!! LOL!

Pat - People would not know where I was at if I sold the 69 The news said Gas could hit $4.00 by spring - I may have to start using the 69 for a lawn ornament! The old dog may have to sit a few days each week and the bike may get some more use

Woo hoo, $4 gas... at that rate I'm real close to justifying the price of a new Harley!

So.....uhhh.......has no one been working on anything or have you all just forgotten about this thread?

Anyway, I put a Pertronix Ignitor in Ol Blue this week and put my 1" carb spacer on today that I bought at the Lincoln swap meet. I also finally have the choke set like I think it needs to be. I got bored so I took all the wheels off and cleaned and painted the hubs black. Should look pretty good when I get the wheels back on the bus.

On another note I put the engine for our old Scorpion Whip 440 together yesterday and got it running today. I blew this thing up on Jan 1 and it's been tore apart in pieces since about Jan 3. Finally got parts ordered and here so I put it back together. I even got paid to do it!!!! I also started taking the muffler of my Grandpa's semi cause his old one leaks everywhere. It wouldn't be bad but it's up underneath the truck and is kinda rusted on there (I guess 871,000 miles might do that) so we'll see what tomorrow brings......

Wow Jake, you're a busy guy... if you run out of things to do, I'll send my truck over, I think it needs a fuel pump.

Do it.......seriously though......after I get that muffler changed I have things to do on the planter......hopefully I can have it all done by tomorrow night so I can have Friday to mess around. Thursday Seim Irrigation & Well Drilling (owned by my uncle) is having an open house, so that pretty much takes care of that day........Friday I'm fixing the tail lights on the ol lady's Lumina........darn Chevy's and their sub-par electrical systems........

-Jake

EDIT - This thing has potential, except for the rust....

Whoa!! I'm liking that Fairlane! I'm not in a position to get one right now (of course). The rust is typical of those cars, doesn't look too bad.

I've never done a fuel pump before, so I'm sure it will be an adventure... The truck runs fine, but anytime it sits more than a couple days, the gas drains all the way back to the tank. Don't see any leaks in the fuel line, so I assume it's the pump.

Oh yeah, I never did give you an answer on that carb you have (had?). After doing some research it seems a 750 CFM would be a bit much for a stock 460.
