To trade or not to trade
I am the proud owner of a 2004 f250. But at only 33,000 miles warranty gone because of years I am starting to have troubles.
1. on occasion pull to a red light and truck cuts off but will crank right back up.
2. a/c switches from vent to defrost on its own then back again after 20 min or so
3. turbo bark/fart when pulling

turbo bark (from every little debate here) seems normal? i am not convinced, but it seems it does not effect anything.
the a/c switch thing seems minor, especially when considering trading it in.
the cut off thing is a concern, is it covered under the engine warranty? the engine warranty should be 5 years, 100k, someone correct me if i am wrong.
seems minor, but hey, if you want a newer truck just to have a newer one, no excuse needed. but if these are the only reasons, then i would say no.

just for some, there are plenty of fine running 6.0's out there.
ford garage? whats that? a dealership or a website?
some 6.0's were horrible, many problems also came as the result of running tuners or whatever. most problmes were in the 2003's and early build 2004's.
if you have problmes though, there are tons of people on this site that know about everything to do with these trucks. i for one am not one of them.

I have throughly enjoyed my 6.0. Post questions for info and also search. There is an amazing amount of info on this site and great people as well. Don't let horror stories scare you, there are just as many people out there that are more than pleased with their 6.0. More people complain about bad than complement when they are good. Human nature I guess

find another dealership.
yes, nice blanket response, but its true, there are many reports of just bad dealers out there.
the dealership should work with you, even if it does not show the symptoms on location.
what is the cut out problem exactly? does it do it every time? document all the conditions it is occuring in (i.e. when engine is cold/hot; after getting fuel ect) and show this to them. it may help them in the diagnosis of the problem.
plus sometimes you have to just get not mean, but forceful with them on getting what you need.

just remeber when you trade anything on something else you loose a lot of money becuse they usually only give what the blue book is and that ussually isnt much, after you trade it in the dealership will go around and sell it for 4K more than they gave you, but if it has issues and you want it gone then trade in is a good idea cuz then the dealership has to fix all the little problems
