I've got an '06 Ranger 6 wheeler, and it will not fit in the back of my Ford trucks (too wide).

We removed the tailgate, the ramps are 2"x8"x10' with a 2"x6"x8' on edge for support.

That is a hell of a tight squeeze.

Must have took some finesse to cram it in there.

I went back and looked at the mag article.

The Ranger they tested was a special edition with a wide cage bumper on the front with guard rails on the side.

Yeah, I have rails too. It will be THE problem unless I loose 'em.

Yes, I have to drive over the wheel wells. I put a 2x8 across the wheel wells in that little pocket and it helps keep the tires from trying to slide down. his truck has line-X so there is a lot of traction. It is a tight fit, but I feel comfortable doing all day long if I had to. It was actually a lot easier than I thought it would be. Also, it is not that much more top heavy than a quad would be. It felt very safe and stable. I but some 8x8x12 blocks in the front of the bed to stop the bumper from hitting the rear window.

Thinkin' about one of those Ranger RZR's. That would solve my truck bed problem as they seem quite a bit less wide. Anyone have one yet?
