Steak, baked tater, french bread. Boys will be home late. Clint is elf working, and Garrett won't be home till after 8:30. Margaret came home and then went grocery shopping. I'll put the boys steak on in about 1/2 an hour.

Margaret is out this evening and the boys worked late today. So I cooked up a 1/2 cup of brown whole grain rice and threw in a couple of cans of hot chili beans. Just made a skilet of helper for the boys. They should be home soon.

I love beans but the wife said no bean could be cooked in her house. She can't stand the smell of them. Kind of like Duane and pickles. But a few years back I started cooking tham when I wanted anyway. A big pot with meaty ham hocks. Corn bread and cold crispy fresh onions added just before you eat um.

Yum! Yum!

Yup beans and pickles, can't stand either one. My wife is always wanting me to pick up her pickles from the store or to open a new jar for her and of course I always do, I keep telling her she is the ONLY woman other than my own mother I would buy or open pickles for lol

My wife and one grandson love dill pickles. In fact we have a bunch of dill weed here in the house right now and it smells like a big dill pickle. Also, just for you Duane we have a friend and she loves to eat pork and beans with just about every meal. Sounds like your ideal mate. LOL.

I guess we all have something we don't like. I don't care for butter scotch. I like caramel which is close, but won't eat butter scotch.

Can't pronounce it or spell it but it eats pretty good. (from the Natural)

Boys are working late again tonight so I didn't cook nothin. Had left over helper in the frig for Margaret but she just made a sammich. I decided to finish off the beans and rice.

The wife had to go back out to Ft Riley tonight and close the optical shop, and she wanted me to drive so we stopped at Wendy's on the way there. Two burgers and a small Frostie. As grandpa would say, "It'll make a ****."
