Just bought a new 07 4.2l f 150 and was wondering if this motor is a pretty good one without any major problems......had a 99 f150 that showed signs of the intake issues........any info would be appreciated

 

Well it should be alright hard to say at least you got warranty untill its up

 

I have an 07 4.2 F150 too, and was told by one of the members of our Delaware FTE group that the problems have been addressed. He had one of the older trucks, and did experience problems with his 4.2. I hope that he is correct in that the engine is much improved!
