Initiated Lemon complaint
Well guys,
Sorry, but I got my truck back today from the shop and it still has issues that Ford can't fix. You can see the list of them in other threads. I have parked it along side my house because I am scared to drive it. It will either sling me off the road some day, or leave me stranded (again) on the side of the road (besides the radio cutting out and the cruise being intermittent). I'll keep you informed of what they do.
All I ask is that they put me in another brand new truck, just like what I have, with the same options, for the same payment. Oh, and they need to reimburse me for the 5th wheel rails and plug and front window tinting. By the way, I never pulled a trailer. Ford told me not to until the 'wiring fault' issue with the plug was resolved (which it never was)
Sad day. No truck.

This is what I was told by FoMoCo. For Ford to buy back the truck the customer still has to pay for the use of the truck. So lets say you took the truck in at 2000 miles. Then they take the price of the truck divided by 100,000. So 50k truck divided by 100000 equals .50. Now take the .50 multiplied by 2000 (miles driven) equals $1000. Now Ford will give you back what you paid into the truck minus the $1000.
Add accessories. If Ford can they will take off the old truck and place on the new truck. If they can't they will find a replacement. If that doesn't work Ford will reimburse you minus depreciation value.
I just got done talking to Ford about this around a month ago.

What a bummer, stuff happens, keep us posted and good luck. In the mean time I will enjoy mine twice as much for you. Know what you are going through, had a 86 Trans Am. In the shop about 15 times. They did finally got it fixed after over 50 hours work, 4 computers, finally a complete new wiring harness. I knew the dealer well and they always gave me a loner. Now I have a 95 Firebird Firehawk that has been great.
