a pager alarm would be my first choice. you can look at it to confirm lock/unlock, pages you to an intrusion, window break, door open. can upgrade to radar function so that if a person reaches into your bronc the alarm will go off. tons of features. i have the clifford pager alarm on my tundra. pretty happy with it. the other one i would recommend would be the page-alarm brand which can be found on ebay for a reasonable price. both have the option of remote start as well. i opted to not do that one. also have the option of a glass breakage sensor, window roll up feature if you have power windows, the list goes on. and install it yourself, it's not that hard, and it will save you about $300.
