Question Any kid-friendly stops between Toronto & Ottawa?

Going to Ottawa July 14 weekend for my sister's wedding. I had wanted to stop at Cullen Gardens/Miniature village to break up the trip for the kids, but I understand they closed recently. Is there anything else interesting for a family to see with young kids (under 5)?

Upper Canada Village but this is approximately 2-2.5hrs from Ottawa off of the 401 exit 760 something hang a right on Upper Canada road left on to Hwy 2, 613-543-3704 13740 County Rd 2 Morrisburg, ON K0C 1X0 been there several times with my brood of 4 everytime that I come home to see mom and dad in North-Lancaster. There is Fort Wellington in Prescott town right after Brockville coming up the 401, my kids enjoyed this and they are now 15, 12, 9 & 4, but they were 12,9,6,1 when we stopped at Fort Wellington.

Good luck and enjoy. I am leaving SC July 3 to be in Ontario July 4.

Regards,
Marc

Talking Do yourself a favor and stop in Cobourg.

They have a nice sandy beach, icecream shop(s) small waterpark area lots of boats of all kinds to look at, great shops and resturants downtown.
It is a very family friendly place.

Also if you like antquis( OLD STUFF) you can go a little further down the road to PortHope also a nice little town(back tracking it's before Cobourg).

If you get the chance eat at the Oasis resturant in Cobourg it has great food and friendly staff.

The Smoothies are pretty good too.

Rick.

True...Cobourg is nice......But as a tourist I like Peterborough more.

You and The Kids can have a picnic and hang out near the pond with fountain and check out the Locks.

I stop in there everytime we're going to Lake Mazineau..Plus my cousin lives there
