I will try to answer all of your questions. The chip does not wear out, there are no moving parts.
It will not affect warranty, see a site titled:
http://www.car-pro.com/warranty_rights.html
also do a search for the "Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act"
This is a law passed to protect consumers from manufacturers demanding that you use their brand name parts to continue your warranty.
Does it cause added stress to your drivetrain??? Only your right foot creates stress to your vehicle.
Specs on the 3.0L Ford Pushrod engine;
150 Hp and 185 ft/lb torque
The chip will add 15hp and 22 ft/lb torque.
You would need to use premium fuel. Do not expect any fuel mileage gains, these are "Performance Chips"
Thanks
