performance chips and exhaust systems do they really help?????//

99 f-250 4 wheel drive with a 5.4 gas wanting to know if any one has installed a chip and if they like the performance and also did it help you gas milege? also the same question about a exuast sistem if it helped what kind do you recomend. thanks alot

I would recommend that you go to the CHIP section of this thread and ask Danny. He will be able to answer all your questions for you.

I have just added a K&N Air Charger and Gibson exhaust this week and notice a consiterable power gain. I can't give you gas milage right now but will repost next week when I fill up. I am planning on putting in a Jet Chip also. I put 35's on my truck and from everyone I have talked to the exhaust and chip should keep your fuel milage at the same MPG as when you had stock wheels, and in a few cases better milage. If you run stock size wheel I would imagine an increase in fuel milage.
