429 oil pan

Hey, im swapping a 429 into my 89 f150 2 wheel drive and was wondering what oil pan setup i should go with. When searching past posts it seems that a 460 rear sump pan should work? I looked at L&L products and they have a 7 qt. conversion kit for the truck and i was wondering if anyone had bought one. Im kinda on a budget so im not really looking to spend a tremendous amount on a oil pan setup. I do on the other hand want a good dependable setup and had thought about a high vol. pump so a bigger pan might be considered. -Thanks

i would (and did) get the ford motorsports engine swap pan- it comes with the pan, pickup, and a new pan gasket- part #FMS-M-6675-A460 from summitracing.com- $149.95, its a 6 quart, so youll be in 7 quarts on an oil change if you change the filter too.

FMS-M-6600-A460 from summit, but mine is a 545 stroker- for a regular 460 youll be fine with a regular volume pump- regular volume pumps dont put as much strain on your distributor, so itll last longer

thats what that number is- the mustang swap part number, and yes any rear sump pan from a truck/van will work, but some aftermarket rear sump extra capacity ones have fit issues
