Maybe before your time, was a parody about saskatchewan from a canadian comedy called Bizarre.

Just a joke and nothing but.

Back to what I said about apples and oranges. With my program, if I enter kilometers traveled and liters of fuel used with the Imperial gallon as quoted, and then converting my numbers to be displayed as miles/ Imperial gallon, then I get 37.5 MPIG current and 40.5 MPIG average.

No. You've made the "presumption" about "everyone".

I merely pointed out FORD sold a lot of F-series pick ups with 30 gallon gas tanks when you seemed in doubt about the size of your tank. I'd presume the majority of the millions of F-series pickups sold each year had 8' beds & the larger tanks. I could be wrong. We'd love to hear your "very weak argument" that nobody has (or "basically few have") the 30 gallon tank.

Nobody's asking you to do any more "**** retentive" stuff like "take pictures" you've done plenty already. Just offered a simple easy way to check your odometer's accuracy.

Still curious why you had to "re-calculate" your MPG after you discovered you didn't know the size of your gas tank. The size of the gas tanks was never an issue for my MPG calculations during the 4+ decades I've driven. I'd hoped to learn your secret, but you won't shoot "your mouth off" about it, despite my repeated inquiries.

I basically ran my tank dry which in reality I shouldn't have (not a good thing) and my calculations were based on a 90 liters tank of gas which I had always assumed, after checking my receipt I noticed my fill was slightly over 93 liters. That is where I discovered my error and redone it to the correct amount, and that is how my numbers changed. I thought I went further with less fuel but discovered I was close to a gallon off, and you jump all over it like I committed a serious offence. Nothing is garanteed here, I'm just dealing with what info I have and try to make it as accurate as possible.

Your assumption is wrong if you think millions of truck nowadays have 8' beds, more like 5-6' beds is more like it, you would think after driving 4 decades you would notice that also. I never assumed that everyone doesn't have a 30 gallon tank, you really have to stop putting words in peoples mouths. You merely suggested that 8' long beds have a 30 gallon tank, I don't have one, I have a 25 gallon tank, that is something your just gonna have to live with. Once again, not everyone has a 30 gallon tank, or an 8' bed etc, etc.......please stop assuming what I have.

ok i gotta admit, i lost a bet with a buddy of mine over something else and i had to buy a tornado. i cursed and swore at him but a bet is a bet. hes got more than 10 yrs on me as a mechanic, ha that just means he'll die first...lol
he swore that in his nissan (read datsun lol) that a tornado gave hime 2mpg. no f'in way on efi engine with mutil port intake says i. again a bet is a bet. worst ever mod. lol. should have given the money to those kids cleaning windows in traffic. i'd have felt the same and accomplished the same result.
he knows how **** i am about records and tracking so he couldn't argue. thats ok ill get him soon he'll lose one to me and his new truck just might end up having those fuel line magnets....lol

Want an opportunity to "re-calculate" your last assumption?

Ford F-150 & 250 beds come in 2 sizes 6.5' & 8' NO "more like 5-6' beds". Here in FL the 8' box is mighty common, the attraction being that the umbiquitous 4X8 sheets plop right in. The cream puff '98 F-150 XLT 4X4 I'm picking up shortly has an 8' box & 30 gal tank.
