I'm looking for a mild body lift kit for my 97 4wd ext cab. Just a couple of inches for tire clearance and looks.

Any advice would be appreciated.

 

Go with a PERFORMANCE ACCESSORIES kit, available in 2" or 3".

 

Go with the Performance Accessories kit(about $120-130). It's easy and you can do it in your driveway with a friend or two. They say it takes only an afternoon but with all the bolts and relocations you'll be doing make sure you have an entire weekend to get it right. The end result in awesome. I did a 2" lift to my 97 150 4x4 and it looks great, not obscene like the "jacked-up" lifts.

 

My suggestion is DON'T do it. It changes the complete drive line geometry and can void any warranties.

Shure it may void warranty, but drive line geometry? Last time I checkked it only modifies the body, not suspension, or drive train, only panels and interior, and mabey the radiator.
