workin out the kinks (howling in 3rd)

Well as some of you know, my '60 is on the road and running great (with the plug wires in the right spot!) Anyway, I had the driveshafts (2-piece) balanced and new Spicer U joints installed and have noticed a bit of a howl when keeping constant speed in third gear. The 300-6 six has a light duty standard 3speed attached with new clutch and pilot bearing. I cannot tell if it is a transmission howl or from somewhere else. Could this be an out of parallel driveshaft alignment? The previous owner had installed the motor mounts and tranny mounts for a 240-6 cyl which had the same bolt pattern as that of my 300. I haven't put up any "angle finders" just yet, just wanted to rack some brains on the forum.
Thanks everybody!!

Thanks, but the tires are new and it is more of a mechanical whine. I guess it could be the rear end. \
Thanks

Ring & Pinion howl. Old used car dealers trick-drive alongside an empty curb-and listen for the echo. In days of old, we used to open the door a bit-but I wouldn't recommend doing that today.
