Bronco Performance problems

I have a 1990 ford bronco w/ a 5.8 and e4od. I have had troubles with performance. When the car starts up in the morning, it feels very powerful, but there is a strong gas odor from the exaust. However, when the car is warmed up, it runs terrible. The engine is louder and it revs higher. I have checked for trouble codes, but there are none. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Bronco Performance problems

I'd start with a thorough search of the vaccuum lines and accesories to rule out that possibility. After that ,do a major tune up to include the plug wires, fuel filter & PCV valve. Also scrub the throttle body clean of carbon/sludge around the throttle plates.I have noticed an increase in driveability problems since winter has gotten near, and, those engines need to be tuned up and ready for the cold surge.
