Sounds cool bchunter. You got to love that grin when you step on the pedal and feel the power!

So I just did a short trip with it (~250 kms) and I got 19 mpg. That is way better then the 16 I was getting before and the truck never had to work. I pulled all the big hills in 5th. It was a good day to test it as there was no wind so I got a good reading. I will post the exact numbers later as I left the gas receipt at the office. I also towed my travel trailer the other day (6000 lbs) and it towed great.

The only bug is that when it is warm and has sat for a while (1 to 2 hours) she is a pain to start. She keeps turning over and I eventually have to tap the gas to get it to fire up. I will take it in at the end of next week after I drive it some more and see if it goes away with time. The only other ones that I have are mosquitos and the black flys will be here soon

Sorry for the quick post, but I have desert and coffee waiting. I will post more later. Have a great evening y'all.

19 mpg isnt that bad at all, especially when you look at the huge power increase you have now.

That is what I was thinking. I didn't think that the grin on my face could get any bigger. Here are the numbers:

252 kms on 30.67 litres = 12.17 L / 100 km, 19.47 mpg

The day was perfect with no wind or rain, and I did the limit the whole time. Granted I knew I was going for milage so I drove accordingly. I am going on a fishing trip this weekend with the boat, so I am so looking forward to hauling it and seeing how it tows on a long haul.

A big 10-4 on that one. I also can't wait to pull out trees with it.

I love driving it now. I loved it before, but now it is even cooler. I pulled my boat with it this weekend, the truck never even felt it. I could actually gun it to get through a yellow light this morning and actually felt the front of the truck come up as the hp was transfered to the rear rubber. I like that feeling. I also like that my truck sounds like my boat.
