HELP!need info on motor

I am the proud owner of a 1990 bronco.I recently had the transmission rebuilt. When the guy put it in for me he started the truck and test drove it.Upon returning to his shop he let it idle to call me to come pick it up.He claims while inside the truck started to squeal and locked up.He said he tried to turn it over with a breaker bar but it was locked up tight.Later i went to his shop with a freind and we turned itthe key and it turned over but we did not start it because we did not want to tear anything else up.Does anyone have any idea what could that mean cause i now do not beleive the guy knows what he is doing. And if there is nothing i can do where can i find a good motor with a resonable price,NEW OR USED.
THANK YOU

HELP!need info on motor

if you took it in running, it should come out running.
if it is a legitimate shop, he should have insurance for these kinds of problems.

Absolutely...don't let them tell you it was a "coincidence." You had a running motor when you went in to the shop. You oughta have one when you come out.
