Stock 66 F250 Power Brake Booster Mounting
I am trying to install the the stock 1966 brake booster and not sure if there is a bracket that goes between the booster and the firewall? The original single chamber master cylinder fits perfectly to the booster. Does anyone know how the actual booster was mounted? I have not found another truck with this orignal set up or been able to find brackets. Still has 4 wheel drum brakes all the way around and I do not want to convert to discs or change the master cylinder as it driven on a very limited basis. Any help would be apreciated.

Here are 2 pictures of an original '66 F-100 Ranger with a factory power brake booster. I was traveling through Indpendence, KS one day about 2 years ago, and saw this at a gas station. I stopped, and found out the owner was the station owner, and he let me take pictures of it.
You can see the bracket behind the booster; I don't have any other pictures of it, but I hope this helps.
In my opinion, it isn't as good as the later booster and bracket setup from the '73 and later trucks. This one sits down too low, and is not as easily available as the later ones.

This helps a lot..thanks for the photos. I thought it might look something like this. Would anyone know what years these and models these brackets might have been used in? can I substititue another year to mount the 66 orginal booster..such as the 1973 you said seems to mount at a better position..will it work with my booster?
