Cruise control crapped out

My cruise control on my 95 Eddie Bauer no longer works for some odd reason. The only recent electrical work I've done on her was disconnecting the battery to replace the starter (302, auto by the way) and fiddling with the cable to the starter because a section of it got fried on the exhaust manifold. Anybody know what to do to get it going again? I didn't use it that much, but if I ever plan on selling her it would be nice to have for value sake.

There is a switch on top of the brake fluid container. It went bad on my 96. Shouldn't cost more than $60 for the dealer to fix. Good luck.

When you say on top of the brake fluid container, are you talking about the master cylinder? I've never noticed anything on there before, but never really payed it that much attention.

Sorry, not on top, but out in front of it. It is connected to the master cylinder line and is basically a sensor for your break system. If it is shot your cruise won't activate cause it thinks your brakes are pressed.

If your horn does not work as well then it could be the steering column 'slip ring'.
