1989 5.0 fuel injection conversion to carb

Guys I have a good deal on a 89 5.0 out of a mustang that was wrecked with 30000 mild miles on it. The question i have is what do I need to do to convert it to a carb. I dont know if the heads are going to give me problems so any help would be great.

Thanks Dave

A carb intake will bolt right up. You will need a distributor for a carb application. Also it must have a steel distributor gear, not cast like a non-roller cam engine. If you are using a Duraspark II ignition with a fenderwell module, you need a distributor for a 1985 Mustang GT with a 5 speed. It will have the correct gear and a vacuum advance. Or you can use one of the nice aftermarket units from Performance Distributors. They offer a Duraspark unit and a stand alone 1 wire DUI unit that works great. I just installed one in a 351W.
