I put on 4 of them back in the 90s. They are hard to make those 'pulse' pipes clear the body seam above the bellhousing. They do make pretty good power, and boost around 11 psi stock. I've only seen the leaky pipes on ones that are many years old.
I have one on my truck and haven't had a problem with leaks as of yet. Hypermax advised me that you need to have the outlet pipe supported or it will put pressure on the connection and it will leak. I was told to make sure the pipe was bolted to the back of the head and it was properly supported to the back of the truck. I also used a light coating of muffler cement on the pipes where they enter into the turbo unit. I know on my recent trip form southern Virginia to Ohio when I was on the PA turnpike I was making over 10 PSI for several sections.
