Mine doors are all fine at 175k miles (not being snooty) and I wonder why some don't need it. I have really been lucky with the Ex, it's probably the best vehicle I ever had out of about 50.
And this is a reminder, you will have loss of hearing once you hit 70
one tip I will add is to use PLENTY of lubrication- the first one I pulled through there was not enough and it pulled the tubing off the fish tape. Subsequent ones I would spray the whole tube as it was pulled in. I highly recommend this mod especially for the rear barn doors.

Listen to this guy - Lots of lubricant
I just got mine in the mail and I went out and did my rear hatch area and it works like a charm. Before it was squeaky and rattling. Now it is nice and solid back there. The squeaking and rattle gave me the impression of a old beat up truck. Now that is gone!
So I had bought 60ft of tubing which was enough to do everything except the passenger side rear door, including both rear barn doors and the big seal around the whole rear opening.
It seems to have loosened up a little from the original tightness where the door practically popped open upon pulling the door handles. Perfect now.
Quieted my RR door completely and the door closes with a nice tight sound now.
D.
So glad I found this thread! Just ordered two rolls of this exact stuff, as I plan on doing all of the doors. The rattling over our crappy south Texas roads.....OMG the rattling, especially from the rear doors, is driving me crazy! I figured the extra cost of the surgical/latex tubing over vinyl was worth it, in order to worry about it less. Will probably get it done this weekend!

Its an awesome mod, I did the surgical tube too and worked well! I used dish soap and water as a lubricant and it was easy... Good luck

Thanks! Everything arrived this afternoon, so planning on getting this done over the weekend with some help from the wife. Will report back on results!
