I don't remember how much I used on my previous ex for the rear, but I do remember I used a smaller sized tubing for it.

And this is what happens when your over 50 "you forget"

You won't need much. I just did the seal on top of the barn doors where it contacts the glass hatch. 9' should do it. The barn doors lock in good.

So far I have done the front doors and barn doors on back. Very tight, when you open the door it sort of springs open. Good mod.

one tip I will add is to use PLENTY of lubrication- the first one I pulled through there was not enough and it pulled the tubing off the fish tape. Subsequent ones I would spray the whole tube as it was pulled in. I highly recommend this mod especially for the rear barn doors.

Listen to this guy - Lots of lubricant

I just got mine in the mail and I went out and did my rear hatch area and it works like a charm. Before it was squeaky and rattling. Now it is nice and solid back there. The squeaking and rattle gave me the impression of a old beat up truck. Now that is gone!

So I had bought 60ft of tubing which was enough to do everything except the passenger side rear door, including both rear barn doors and the big seal around the whole rear opening.

It seems to have loosened up a little from the original tightness where the door practically popped open upon pulling the door handles. Perfect now.

So glad I found this thread! Just ordered two rolls of this exact stuff, as I plan on doing all of the doors. The rattling over our crappy south Texas roads.....OMG the rattling, especially from the rear doors, is driving me crazy! I figured the extra cost of the surgical/latex tubing over vinyl was worth it, in order to worry about it less. Will probably get it done this weekend!

Its an awesome mod, I did the surgical tube too and worked well! I used dish soap and water as a lubricant and it was easy... Good luck

I did the mod but went with door gasket foam bead. I choose poorly. After 3 yrs the stuff is collapsed. Time for the latex.
