Fuel Filter Removal

How do you get the fuel filter off? Do you just pull? I don't want to break anything!
I remember seeing something on this but I couldn't find it.
Thanks!

I believe there are a couple of external clamps that you take off first. Then there is a special tool you need to release the hose from each end of the fuel filter. I bought mine at O'riellys. The guy at the counter knew exactly what I needed. You slide the tool around the stem coming from the filter and then you push it toward the hose and with a little twisting, cussing, and pulling it will come out.

yeah. make sure when you clamp the fuel line you don't tear it. not only will you get covered in fuel, you then have a bit of a problem. point: fuel lines are not fun to replace.
