Nice truck Walford!! What are your plans with the truck when done? Is it a work truck?
Inquiring minds want to know.

Walford, great looking rig. I noticed that your plug wires run on top of the manifold. Were they originally under the mqnifold?

Also, I noticed that what i think is part of your manifold runs across the front of the engine.? esplaine if you can.
Good luck and keep on trucking

Nice, Walford!! Love the dents on the cab and hood - pretty common for a grain truck to be used as a ladder on occasion, usually causing nice dents. But, you have to remember, they were a "tool" to the farmer...nothing more.

There's a pretty solid-looking '48-'50, probably F4-F6, on the way to my daughter's house. Someday I'm going to stop...

I don't know if i didn't view your gallery before but i am glad this thread bubbled back up. The F6 is a great looking work truck. Getting the box on the bed must have been a real effort. How did you get it on. Also like the tow hooks on the front.. adds a lot.

Hi Jim Hackney---where have you been ,man? M y wife always talks about you and your truck at the Nat's!!
My 56 F600 vanbody has original yblock and the accel plug wires were added from my AVANTI,which got a factory set. So the 272 got the yellow ones and still need to be weaved in behind the block.
The front is just the cast iron color for the h2opump,I guess!
My 1956 F100 is meadow green and in build mode in the barn, and will be yblocked from lastchance56 --his 1960 292 and 4 speed.
My white 56 F600 will be my new diesel soon as buddy gets on it!!
The hooks on the black truck are on the front and sides and have pulled out a 1/2 dozen vehicles already.....That is my car hauler and camper and parts mover all in one!!
I am working on my 1971 sport custom and just got my new seat from mandojake --truxx nephew and it will be installed soon and will be my driver. Pics coming soon.
I wondered how this thread got restarted, but cool!!
Frank cowan---I am still comin to Florida, just not know when.
Dick--I have about 5 trees to cut up at my place too, from the ice storm. I ought to visit you this summer and get your address.
I am going to sell off some BIG TRUCK stuff this way to clear out a little space. I drove the vanbox 56 2 days ago to pull a 4x4 2007 chevy out of the snow drift and I pulled him out like nothing. I installed the vanbox alone with a come-a-long ---after building and moving steel mill ladles all my life--this was easy!! NOT REALLY!!!lol Bill

Nice gallery. The more 56's that can be kept in circulation the better.
