Perfect thanks for the tip at the end, and the info! I should be able to find something now. When i have my compressor hooked up, I do have a water filter on the line, But i was contemplating getting one of those air dryer things too.
an air dryer would be a good idea, i guy can make one himself fairly easy too. at least i think im thinking of an air dryer, maybe it was just a moisture trap...
all we had on our plasma at school was a princess auto dryer. just a vertical tube, with an inlet at the bottom, and the outler at the top, with a valve at teh bottom to drain the water out, the top end unscrew's to allow changing of the pellets. My prof made one out of stainless pipe, mainly for looks, the Princess version was pretty nice, thinbk it was $50 plus whatever the pellets cost.
At Princess Auto the desiccant air dryer regular price is $99.99, usually comes on sale afew times a year for less. The air dryer pellets are regular priced at $31.99, again less when on sale.
Wait till Princess Auto has a sale on the dryers and the desiccant pellets and then grab them to save quite afew bucks.
That`s when I bought mine and some spare refills.
I think that you can dry the silica gel in the oven to restore the drying ability. I am sure that someone in the chem lab told me that at one time. Heat until it turns blue again. Thats if it is silica Gel.
There is a Millar Plasma cutter forsale for 1400 on usedstoon. It is in Regina. It looks like new. So there you go preppy. Now you just have to get back here to get it.
I don't know the prices. But I too sure would like one for here later when I get more set up. 1400. does not seem too bad for a new machine. Maybe someone else can enlighten on this.
