2007 stock wheels fit on 2004?

I have seen some really nice new take-off wheels + tires from a 2007 SD. Will they fit on my 2004? What years are compatible? Thanks.

They will fit but will sit farther into the wheel wells due to more backspacing.

I thought that post 2005 had a different bolt pattern than the pre 2005s?

That's what I am unsure of. I thought I had read somewhere that was the case.

The DRW trucks have a different bolt pattern, the SRW don't. I've seen the newer wheels on 04 and older SRW trucks.

The SRW pattern is the same 8 X 170 mm. They 07's will fit but they will be tucked so far inside the wheel wells they will look silly. Plus the 05'+ trucks have coils springs. The older leafs spring truck will have rub issues I bet.

The only way to get this to work is to buy a set a wheel spacers. Myself I would never trust spacers on such a critical union. I bet there are high quality ones out there but no for me.

No spacers 4 me either. Had bad experience with them on my 94.

For a 4X4, the 17" wheels will not even fit without spacers because they hit the tie rod ends. They have about 1-1/2" more backspacing than the 2004 and earlier.
