Question Anyone here using the "German" made Castrol 0w-30?

Hello, anyone out there use the Castrol that says made in Germany on the back in the 0w-30 weight? I have been using it in my 2004 FX4 and love it. It seems to make the truck turn a bit easier in the extreme cold. Also, you can only find it at certain Auto Zones.

I run the Motorcraft semisyn. The Motocraft oils are some of the best on the market, so I have never had reason to stray.

No offense but you are using absolutely the wrong oil for that engine you are really asking for cam phaser and cam follower problems, I use MC 5/20 semi/syn works just fine..

I dont't think the oil he is using will cause any problems. Since he is using 0w-30 he is actually getting oil flow at lower temps to the internals quicker than the 5w-20. Ford came out with the 5w-20 oil to meet corporate fuel economy numbers dictated by the US Gov't . If they did not meet the overall fuel economy #'s they get heavily fined.
In fact back in 97 when the recommended oil was 5w-30, Ford published a change in 2001 informing that all 97 and later engines should use 5w-20 to meet gov't standards.

BTW I have seen 0w-30 Mobil 1 at Walmart.
