Hello i just bought a 2001 f150 Xtr, with the factory tow package.I'm wondering what the tow ratings are for this truck and what is included in these factory tow packages. It has a 4.6 liter v8 auto trans.

 

Your owners manual should tell you. Are you planning on pulling much? The 4.6 will do it but not as easily as the 5.4.

 

You have not given enough information.
Is it a super cab, screw, reg cab, 4x2, 4x4 etc.?
Tire sizes also enters into the mix at some points. 16 or 17"
What rear gear?

The max gross towing weights ranges from 10,000 to 11,500 lbs over all the combinations.
Over the same range, the seperate towing weights range from 5800 to 6900 lbs.
The 5.4L motor makes a big difference on these max weights per model.
All this assumes an automatic transmission.
